Bethanie Jolly and Peter Hunt

Northern Rivers singer-songwriter Bethanie Jolly’s unique raw vocals tell heart stirring, deeply personal tales. Bethanie’s rich folk style is coloured with splashes of old time blues and deeply moving soul, likened to a dulcet blend of Tracy Chapman and Eric Bibb, mixed with a lyrical song-craft akin to the likes of Joni Mitchell and Gillian Welsh and drenched in Australian soil. Bethanie just last year released her debut album ‘Woo Me From My Sleep’.

Peter Hunt is the core songwriter and trumpet player for the band Kooii.  He is also an active collaborator, playing with and writing for several groups panning the influences of African, Jazz, Reggae and various folk music’s helping cultivate a distinct soul-belonging sound that resonate through song’s that seek, or find, connection between people and place.
